The hospitalist model in Obstetrics and Gynecology has grown rapidly over the past decade, yet no standards existed for the knowledge or skills expected of hospitalists in OB/GYN or to guide curriculum development for OB/GYN hospitalist fellowship programs in the U.S.
The Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists (SOGH) encourages OB/GYN hospitalists to master a unique set of proficiencies including clinical knowledge, procedural skills and systems expertise.
Core competencies delineate the proficiencies required to function effectively as an OB/GYN hospitalist.
